Kelly M. Anastasio is a nationally recognized leader in clinical research operations, workforce development, and end-to-end operational strategy, known for architecting sustainable research infrastructures across complex academic medical environments. With more than two decades of experience advancing clinical research excellence at Yale University School of Medicine, she has built a reputation for transforming vision into scalable, high-performing systems—expertise she brings to CTAC’s board leadership.
Kelly is a mission-driven healthcare leader committed to expanding access to clinical research and strengthening the workforce that supports it. She is also a nationally certified professional medical coding instructor with the American Academy of Professional Coders, training and credentialing medical coding and billing professionals nationwide. Across her tenure at Yale University School of Medicine, she has designed and activated programs that improve patient access, elevate research quality, and build sustainable operational systems that support clinical feasibility, resource planning, and long-term research success.
Her leadership includes developing centralized research infrastructure, improving access to research, and creating recruitment pathways that connect more communities to clinical trials. Kelly’s work is grounded in collaboration, continuous improvement, and a deep commitment to strengthening community-based research capacity. Her contributions have earned her multiple honors, including the Linda K. Lorimer Award for Distinguished Service and recognition as an Extraordinary Leader at Yale.
As Board Secretary, Kelly supports CTAC’s governance, board operations, and compliance, helping ensure alignment with its mission to broaden access to high-quality clinical research nationwide.
